This weekend, International Women's Day was celebrated worldwide, and of course, we didn’t stay aside. We asked our colleagues 4 questions about being a woman in logistics.
What do you like about your job, and what especially attracts you to it?
Sales Accountant
I like that my job is dynamic and involves many different tasks. As an accountant, I enjoy when reconciliation statements come through, and when chaos transforms into one unified picture.
What stereotypes related to logistics have you had to break along the way?
Freight Forwarder | Road Freight
The stereotype that logistics is a very complex and unclear field. In reality, it’s not like that. Anyone can come in, figure it out with some effort, and achieve success in this field.
What advice would you give to young ladies who are just starting their careers in logistics or are considering this field?
Junior Freight Forwarder | Air Freight
First of all, don’t be afraid to explore new things and push away thoughts like "Do I have enough experience? Will I be able to do it?". Logistics is not a routine job—every day, you will learn something new, so stay open-minded.
What inspires you at work, and how do you deal with difficult moments?
Senior Lawyer
I want to dedicate my answer to one person—my mother. She is a role model of hard work, perseverance, and determination no matter the circumstances, as well as a true professional in her field. She is also a lawyer, and from a very young age, she introduced me to the wonderful world of law. Whenever I need internal support, I always think of her.
